"I first visited in June and was delighted with the experience, so much so that I’ve already been back twice this week. Each time, it has been just as enjoyable. The staff are fantastic, the atmosphere is brilliant, and the value for money is excellent. I’ll definitely be returning and have already recommended this place to friends and family"

"We came in for a dinner of 4 without knowing what to expect. The place was quite small and intimate and felt a lot more local than anywhere else we’ve been while on this holiday. The food all came quickly and together. Startes were some of the best I’ve tried. Best Gambas, best croquettes by far. All presentation was above my expectations, the food quality was amazing. My only comment was that a lot of the meat was cooked more towards the rare side, I’m not sure if this is a South American way of cooking but if you’re from Europe maybe ask for the medium instead of rare. Also the language barrier meant we struggled to order a little bit and ended up paying more (aka 2 beers when we ordered one) I cannot fault this place whatsoever and wish them nothing but success. I will return with better Spanish vocabulary for my next trip. :))"

"This is the lost restaurant of Gran Canarias - set apart from the usual tourist menu & located in a quiet park of Puerto Rico. Carlos is an innovative chef patron, and his team is the family that makes you welcome. Stand out dishes: starter Aubergine; Main Angus loin aged steak; dessert Avocado cheesecake! Give it a try, my write-up does not do it justice."

"This is a fantastic traditional family run restaurant which you have to visit. Away from the hustle and bustle of Puerto Rico in El Motor Grande at the top of the valley is Asador Fuego Lento. Tucked away in a little square surrounded by trees this restaurant is off the beaten path but definitely worth a visit. We had an absolutely fabulous meal, the food was perfect with a great wine recommendation from our host. Our fillet steak was outstanding, as good as anything I’ve had before. Really I can’t fault anything, my only regret is not gojng sooner so we could revisit before we went home. Definitely worth five stars"

"This is a wonderful restaurant away from the strip mall chaos of Puerto Rico that is definitely worth a visit. We’ve visited twice during our holiday and plan to return at least once more. Great steaks, lovely salads and sides and excellent seasoning, sauces and garnishes—their steaks come with little bits of lovely grilled veg. The staff are really kind, warm and friendly, but a bit of Spanglish helps sometimes as it’s a local place, but this is part of the charm—remember you’re in Spain and use your chance to practice! The tres leches cake is wonderful, as is the cheesecake. I travel throughout Europe and Spain regularly for work and Fuego Lento is up there with some of my favorites when it comes to value and good, honest food."

"Great Asador! Location is in a quite place in top of the Puerto Rico walley. Perfect place if you wanna escape the many more, noisy restaurants in Puerto Rico. The Chef and staff is a hospitable family+ and we enjoyed the great food and the good service a lot! Servation of table is smart. Often possible to get one on the kick after a aperitif:) Also it's just a nice 10min walk down to the bar area, after a big dinner."

"A hidden gem. We would definitely recommend that you visit Fuego Lento for a meal. So many restaurants here in Puerto Rico have basically the same menu so it’s refreshing to have a new and unique menu to choose from. Nice atmosphere, great service and delicious food."

"A bit outside of Puerto Rico but well worth the walk. Absolutely phenomenal food. From first time trying Tequeńos to their High Loin steaks, everything we had over 3 visits was fantastic. Cannot praise this restaurant high enough. Highly recommend."
